Privacy Policy

RumbleTab is a scorekeeping app for in-person card nights. We built it for our own family table, and we treat your data the way we want ours treated: collect little, share nothing, sell never.
What we collect
- Account details. Your phone number (used to sign in), your name, and an optional profile picture. Authentication is handled by our sign-in provider, Clerk.
- Profile flavor. Optional, self-declared fun facts you enter during onboarding: your chosen character, signature move, drink of choice, go-to excuse, and birthdate. All of it is skippable.
- Game records. Scores, hands, session results, badges, and any comments you post to your table's feed.
- Guest details. A table member may record a guest's name and phone number or email so that person's scores can later be claimed. A guest does not have an account, and another member providing their number does not consent to SMS.
- SMS requests. If you explicitly request a one-time score-claim text, we record the mobile number, time, disclosure version, IP address, and browser user agent as evidence of that request.
That's it. No advertising identifiers, no location, no contacts access, no analytics trackers.
How we use it
- To run the game: live scores, standings, badges, and the feed your table shares.
- To keep you signed in across your devices.
- To send a one-time score-claim text when the intended recipient explicitly asks us to do so.
Your game data is visible to the other players at your table. That is the entire point of the app. It is not visible to anyone else.
What we never do
- We do not sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
- We do not show ads or share data with advertisers.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Who touches your data
Clerk (clerk.com) processes sign-in: your phone number, name, and profile image live in their systems under their privacy policy. Amazon Web Services processes a destination phone number and message content when an intended recipient requests a RumbleTab text. Game records are stored on infrastructure we operate. These providers process data for us; we do not sell it or share it with advertisers.
Deleting your data
Want out? Email us and we'll delete your account and every score, comment, and excuse attached to it. Bragging rights are non-refundable.
Children
RumbleTab is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. We will not quietly get worse.
